This is probably going to be linked everywhere today, and for good reason: This is perhaps the most accessible/listenable explanation of the current economic crisis you are likely to find anywhere.
Great show. Here are the other good explanations I’ve found.

Lupe Fiasco, Pharrell and Kanye West (AKA Child Rebel Soldier) - “Us Placers”
This samples Thom Yorke’s “The Eraser.” I like it and I’m looking forward to more from this trio.

Sarah Palin reads everything.
Couric and Palin, and you don’t stop! In this hilarious clip, Katie asks Palin a pretty straightforward question: In shaping your worldview, what newspapers or magazines do you read? I mean, specifically. No really, just name one. (via)
There’s so much and yet so little to say about this moment.

“I’m Just A Little Person”
(Just to save myself all that rewinding work…)
Synecdoche soundtrack
I’ve been catching up on my internet, and one of my favorite new things is the Synecdoche, New York trailer. “Just A Little Person,” the song that starts at about 1:28 really grabbed me — I’ve been rewinding the YouTube over and over to listen to the first verse. According to the usually not so reliable Yahoo Answers, it’s from Jon Brion, which makes sense as he also did the soundtracks to Magnolia and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, among others. He nails the mixture of pathos, absurdity and good humor that seems like a common thread in the films he’s involved in, and the music is well-matched to go with visuals. Or, possibly, it was written by Charlie Kaufman and sung by Deanna Storey. Either way, the song in Synecdoche isn’t online yet, as far as I can tell (it’ll be out with the soundtrack, presumably sometime in October), but the instrumental theme from ETOTSM has some of the same feel, as does the song Here We Go on his MySpace page.A lovely thing.
